As the city’s first art museum and only college of art and design, the Corcoran is a Washington tradition. As a privately funded institution, we rely on the generosity of our friends and supporters which enables us to continue our mission to present groundbreaking new exhibitions; to open our classrooms to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study art; to restore our historic building to better protect and preserve the art treasures inside. The dedication of others sustains and enriches the Corcoran.
