Peggy Loar Announces an Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer

Dr. William Richardson holds a BA in History and Russian from the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as both MA and Ph.D. degrees in History from the University of California, Berkeley. His most recent positions include Interim Dean of Communication and Creative Media, Champlain College, Burlington, VT for the last year, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Antioch University, Santa Barbara, CA from 2010-2012 and Dean of the Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts at Coastal Carolina University from 2006-2010. 

Corcoran Student and ArtReach After School Announced as Winners of Mayor's Arts Awards

ArtReach After School, the Corcoran’s community art program, and Master of Arts in Art Education student Paige Byrne were awarded Mayor’s Arts Awards at the 28th Annual Mayor's Arts Awards Ceremony on October 22. ArtReach After School won in the category of Innovation in the Arts and Byrne won the Mayor's Arts Award for Teaching.  This award is the higherst honor conferred by Washington, D.C., and recognizes artistic excellence and service among artists, arts organizations and arts patrons in the city.

Andy Grundberg, Muriel Hasbun and Pablo Ortiz Monasterio to Participate in Society for Photographic Education's National Conference

Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies Andy Grundberg, Chair of Photography Muriel Hasbun, and visiting instructor and artist Pablo Ortiz Monasterio's proposal for a three-person panel, "Conversación: Dialogue at a Distance," was accepted for the Society for Photographic Education's National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland March 6-9, 2014.
