Rahshia Sawyer Winner of Fondation François Schneider's Contemporary Talents 2012 in Photography

Please join me in congratulating BFA Photo 2004 Photography Alumna Rahshia Sawyer in winning the Fondation François Schneider's Contemporary Talents 2012 in Photography! Rahshia's work, "We are not Made of Wood" was selected out of 3,176 participants who submitted works related to the theme of water. The acquisition and exhibition prize of $20,000 promotes the work of yet unrecognized artists.

Jonathan Latiano Wins 2013 Baker Artist Award

Fine art adjunct faculty Jonathan Latiano was one of the three winners of the 2013 Mary Sawyers Baker Prize for $25,000.

"Superstition" at Open Studio DC

Superstition

Join printers and poets for the opening reception of Superstition at
Open Studio DC on Saturday, May 4, 6:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Students in
the Corcoran’s MA program in Art and the Book collaborated with
poets in the Washington, D.C., area to create a series of prints inspired
by the theme “superstition.” Work will be on display until the end of May.
