Capturing Clouds - Afternoon Session - SOLD OUT

Head up to the clouds for a sky high tour of the special exhibition, Turner to Cézanne: Masterpieces from the Davies Collection, National Museum Wales. Find shapes in the skies and learn to identify nimbus, cirrus, stratus, and cumulus clouds. Down in our studio, paint your favorite cloud formation using acrylic paint on canvas board. Don’t forget to paint the silver lining!

Explore and discuss en plein air techniques in Turner to Cézanne: Masterpieces from the Davies Collection, National Museum Wales, an internationally acclaimed collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. Randolph Williams, artist and Corcoran graduate, leads participants in outdoor sketching activities. Materials for this workshop are included. No prior drawing experience is necessary. Registration is required.
