Renaissance M Street Hotel Mixes Corcoran Art Exhibit With Wine Tastings – Students Display Incredible Works of Art in Lobby

WASHINGTON, D.C.— To celebrate an ongoing partnership between hospitality and the arts, the Renaissance M Street Hotel in downtown Washington, DC unveiled a vibrant and distinctive exhibit of contemporary student art works from the Corcoran College of Art + Design.

The new exhibit, set to change quarterly, features 8-12 student art works set among the hotel’s cosmopolitan M Bar lobby lounge and restaurant, intriguing guests to wine, dine and discover a new generation of modern American artists.

“We are very excited to be able to showcase some incredible student art and continue our strong partnership with The Corcoran Gallery of Art,” said Matt Felix, general manager, Renaissance M Street. “Our guests love seeing what the students have produced while having a great glass of wine or one of our signature cocktails.”

The unveiling of the exhibit was celebrated at M Bar with an organic wine tasting by Country Vintners, deemed “Put a CORC in it!” Dean Pillow, Corcoran Gallery leadership and supporters joined hotel guests and friends of Renaissance M Street Hotel to honor the artists. The hotel will continue to hold quarterly “Put a CORC in It!” wine tasting events as the student art exhibit rotates.
