Tansy Matthews, Access Librarian & Metadata Coordinator
Tansy joined the Corcoran Library in August 2012. Tansy would rather be helping our students, faculty, and staff to find resources, ideas, and inspiration than working on her own, so Please Disturb.
Prior to coming to the Corcoran Library, Tansy worked at a smorgasbord of libraries and arts institutions, including the Visual Resources Library at UC Berkeley, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Virtual Library of Virginia. She orginally became interested in arts librarianship as a work-study student at the Savannah College of Art & Design Library, It was there that she saw students and faculty in the library being inspired by new art and learning about the past.
Tansy holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History from the Savannah College of Art & Design, a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, and a Master's Degree in the History of Decorative Arts from the CCA+D/Smithsonian Associates HDA program.
Patricia L. Reid, Technical Services Associate
Patricia originally came to the Corcoran Library as a part-time, evening library technician in September of 1989. In March 1990, she became a full-time employee.
It is Pat who can be thanked for getting the library's new books and DVDs into the catalog and onto the shelves. She is also responsible for all of the Corcoran Library's Interlibrary Loan transactions, which we know our students and faculty appreciate.
Prior to coming to the Corcoran Library, Pat worked for Trinity College Library.
