Community Day Breakfast for Family and Alumni

Students, alumni, and their families are invited to join Corcoran staff and faculty for a delicious breakfast featuring seasonal ingredients in the South Atrium of the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Guests will have exclusive early entry to the Corcoran's Community Day festival.

When: Saturday, November 2; 9–10 a.m.

Cost: FREE for Family and Alumni Weekend guests

RSVP: RSVP is required. Please register online by Sunday, October 27.

Community Day at the Corcoran

Students, alumni, their family and friends are invited to join us for a day of community-inspired events at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design. Guests are invited to enjoy a variety of events happening throughout the gallery and college, including a community art sale, art-making workshops, a film festival, gallery tours, and other special events.

Cyanotype Printing Demonstration (10:15 a.m.–11:15 a.m., Education Workshop, Ground Floor)

3-D Printing Demonstration (All Day, Ruesch Conference Room, First Floor) with Corcoran faculty member Davide Prete

Ceramic Bowl Workshop benefiting So Others Might Eat (SOME) with wheel demonstrations every hour (All Day, Ceramics Studio, ground floor)

Printmaking Workshop (Noon–3 p.m., Education Workshop, Ground Floor)

Art with Recycled Materials (All Day, Gallery 17, Second Floor and Corner of Seventeenth & New York Avenue) Contribute to our collaborative outdoor wheat field installation on the corner, and make a catfish in partnership with Anacostia Riverkeeper. Bring your own plastic bottles and bags to upcycle!

The Corcoran’s second annual Community Art Fair is a juried exhibition and sale of fine arts and crafts made by D.C.-area artists and Corcoran students.
