Youth and Family
The Corcoran invites young people and families to learn about art together in the unique setting of a college and museum of art. Whether you participate in a one-time family workshop or an ongoing art camp, the Corcoran is pleased to offer an impressive range of options for the aspiring artists in your family. All youth and family programs are taught by professional artists and educators who tailor learning to meet your child’s interest and development in the visual arts. We invite you to explore this section of the website where you can learn more about the following:
Family Programs
Family programs include regular workshops and annual festivals. These programs are designed for children and their families to learn about and create art together in a museum setting.
Youth Classes
The Aspiring Artists program, a series of after-school and weekend art classes, focus on the development of various skill sets and special interests.
Camps
Camps include the summer-long Camp Creativity program and a spring break mini-camp. Camps offer a variety of options from morning to afternoon sessions or all day classes with pre- and post-camp activities.
Pre-College
The Corcoran College of Art + Design is pleased to offer Pre-College classes for rising high school juniors and seniors year-round in a variety of formats, each carrying optional undergraduate credit..
