Mr. Ladden, who served the Smithsonian Institution for over twenty-six years, brings to the Corcoran College extensive experience in strategic and implementation planning for museums. As Program Director, he oversaw the multi-million dollar renovation of the National Museum of American History. As Chief of that museum’s Project Management Office and previously as a Supervisor of the Collections Management Services, he was responsible for the openings of approximately ten exhibitions annually, including the Price of Freedom and America on the Move. He also served as the liaison with the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service and NMAH’s traveling exhibition program. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, he was Exhibition Coordinator for the International Sculpture Center in Washington, D.C. He also consults with other institutions such as the Presidio Trust in San Francisco on the feasibility of a new museum at the Golden Gate. Mr. Ladden holds a Master of Arts in Art History and Museum Studies from the George Washington University.
