Personal Information

Ms. Small is an independent conservator for Art Conservation Services, LLC, offering consulting services for private clients, museums, cultural institutions, and historic sites for the conservation and restoration of works of art and artifacts on paper. She also serves as a contract conservator for the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Formerly she was an Advanced Conservation Intern at the Library of Congress, a Conservation Fellow at the Winterthur/ University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation, and a Museum Specialist at the National Gallery of Art. She holds a Master of Science degree in Art Conservation from the University of Delaware, a Master of Arts degree in Art History from Syracuse University, and a B.A. degree in Psychology and Art History from Colgate University. Professional memberships include the American Institute for Conservation of Artistic and Historic Works, the Washington Conservation Guild, and the Washington Print Club. She is co-instructor of the Conservation course with Dare Hartwell.
