Personal Information

Antonio McAfee is a visual artist living in Baltimore, MD and an instructor at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and Northern Virginia Community College. He received his BFA in Photography from the Corcoran College of Art. Shortly after, he earned his MFA in Photography from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded The Dedalus Foundation MFA Fellowship. In 2010, he was a Fulbright scholar in Johannesburg, South Africa studying Arts and Culture Management at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) from which he received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Art. While at Wits, he focused on U.S. federal arts funding and the relationship between local artists, non-profit art spaces and local, provisional, and national art agencies in Johannesburg. He is a 2012 Fulbright Alumni Ambassador.

In addition to teaching at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Mr. Antonio McAfee also teaches at Northern Virginia Community College.
