Robert Weingarten: Palette Series
July 15, 2006–October 1, 2006
July 15, 2006–October 1, 2006
Robert Weingarten’s photographs of artists’ palettes bridge the gap between realism and abstraction, presenting details of both saturated pigments and the visual landscapes of artists’ studios. These images allowa microcosmic view of the materials and methods of more than twenty contemporary painters, including Chuck Close, Jasper Johns, Ed Ruscha, Robert Ryman, Wayne Thiebaud, and Lisa Yuskavage.
Robert Weingarten palette series was presented with the generous support of Deane and Paul Shatz and the Evelyn Stefansson Nef Exhibition Fund.
