The 5th National Collegiate Handmade Paper Art Triennial is jointly sponsored by the Corcoran College of Art + Design and the Brodsky Center at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and directed by Lynn Sures and Anne Q. McKeown.
This edition of the Paper Triennial was juried by Jane Milosch, curator, Senior Program Officer, Office of the Under Secretary for History, Art, and Culture Smithsonian Institution. Open to any student enrolled in a program of BFA, MFA or Associate degrees in art, all works are primarily made of the student’s own handmade paper. Entries were received from programs around the United States, and 40 artists were chosen for exhibition—including Corcoran alumna Lynette Spencer. Awards include a student board membership from Hand Papermaking magazine and residencies at Southwest School of Art, San Antonio, TX, and Traveling Tides Studio in Delaware.
