Book a Museum Tour and introduce your students to the joy of learning through art! The Corcoran is the perfect classroom extension for exploring everything from American history to geography, literature, music and even geometry. Interactive tours explore our multicultural collection, tie into school curricula, and place emphasis on the development of important visual and critical analysis skills.

A comprehensive package of background materials and activities introduces the concepts, works of art, and vocabulary to be investigated during the tour. Student participation and enthusiasm during the museum tour is significantly enhanced by the use of this preparatory information in the classroom. Packets must be returned on the day of the tour. Museum Tours and Workshops are a FREE service of the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Schedule early in the school year to get your first choice.

From 10:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Duration
The duration of a Gallery Tour is 45 minutes. The optional related workshop is also 45 minutes (please note the Primary Views Gallery Tour lasts 30 minutes, and the Workshop is 30 minutes).
