
Jonathan Binstock, Curator of Contemporary art at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, will talk with Sam Gilliam about his current retrospective at the Corcoran, the artist’s first. The two will survey Gilliam’s career highlights and discuss in detail some of his key paintings and installations. Sam Gilliam is a major figure of the post-1960s era and one of Washington, DC’s most important artists; his work is in museum collections all over the country.
Sam Gilliam and Jonathan Binstock will lecture in the Armand Hammer Auditorium on Monday, December 5, 2005 at 3 pm. This leture is free and open to the public.
