Rights and Reproductions

Procedure

All requests for photographic material and permission to reproduce works from the Corcoran's collection must be made in writing using the request form linked to this page. Please be sure to specify the exact usage being requested, including whether the image is to be published or is needed for research purposes only. An agreement and invoice will be prepared and sent to you. Upon receipt the signed agreement and payment in full, the photographic material will be sent along with permission to reproduce.

Formats Available

Digital
300 DPI TIFF files

Color Photography
4 x 5 inch color transparencies  (may be rented for a three-month term)

Black-and-White Photography
8 x 10 inch black-and-white prints

Processing

Please allow up to four weeks for processing. All efforts will be made to meet publication deadlines upon request; please note any time constraints. If reproduction in color is requested, a color proof must be submitted for approval. Please allow adequate time to correct any problems before printing.

Availability of images

If the material requested is not available, new photography may be scheduled upon consultation with the requestor. There is an additional fee and payment must be received before the new photography is completed. Please allow up to three additional weeks from receipt of payment to fulfill the request in order to accommodate the photography schedule.
