REGISTRATION
Flower Power
Wake up, smell the roses, and create beautiful works of botanical art. Studying Claude Monet, John La Farge, and Camille Corot, campers create colorful and dynamic floral arrangements to capture with pastels and paint.

Ocean Giants
Look who's microscopic now! Learn about colossal creatures found in the ocean and create paintings and collages of blue whales, whale sharks, giant squids, and other mysteries from the great abyss.

Crown Jewels
Design your own royal castle and decide if it includes a dungeon for your enemies or towers with fair maidens. You will also create your crown and scepter with shiny metals and glittering jewels fit for a queen or king.

Mermaids and Monsters
Explore medieval storytelling traditions, including mermaids, monsters, and other creatures. Illustrate stories and create your own magical beasts through painting, drawing, and mixed-media creations!

Color Your World
Learn how color has been used as a means of expression for centuries. Then create your own colorful 2D and 3D works of art using a variety of materials.

Collage Creations
Discover the many materials and methods for creating dynamic mixed-media collages. Experiment with photographs, text, handmade paper, paint.

Marvelous Mobiles
Learn how artists such as Alexander Calder have played with gravity and balance to create sculptures that move. Use paper cut-outs, wire, and other materials to build works of art to suspend from the wall or ceiling.

Just Add Water
Watercolor is one of the most difficult painting mediums to control, but it gives some of the most delicate and beautiful results. Learn how to mix color, apply washes, and create effects unique to watercolor as you paint still lifes.

Eco Art
Discover the surprising artistic materials that the natural world can offer when you take the time to explore its possibilities. Experiment with natural paints and dyes, fabrics, handmade papermaking, and much more.

Hidden Gems
Found objects can open your eyes to new artistic potential for reinvention. Look around your world for untapped inspiration from nature, forgotten items, recycled materials, and even your discarded stuff to create fabulous sculptures.

Aquatic Art
Study wonderful organic forms from the ocean such as fish, coral, and seashells. Using colored pencil and watercolor, make drawings and paintings that are perfect for summer!

Clay Castles
Ever made a sand castle and wished you could take it home? Now's your chance to build a battle-proof fortress fit for a king or queen, using clay, stone, and wood. You also design your own coat of arms for your flags flying high.

Piece by Piece
Combine different colors and shapes into surprising designs and patterns. Using paper, beads, pebbles, and tiles, create beautiful mosaics for the wall, ground, and more.

Secret Forest
Discover the rainforest and the many treasures living beneath its canopy. Bring the wilderness indoors as you create murals and sculptures inspired by boas, beetles, monkeys, and more.

Week 8: August 12-16--Downtown Campus
Kid Pan Alley
The last week of Camp Creativity 2013 is a weeklong songwriting workshop that combines creativity, music, and art. Campers work with Kid Pan Alley founder, Paul Reisler, who has written over 1,800 songs with over 30,000 children across the nation. Budding songwriters draw musical inspiration from the art in the Corcoran's galleries. Theater and visual art teachers guide costume and stage design projects for the concert finale.
All classes for all ages are be held at the Downtown campus this week only. Space is limited.
