Corcoran Bachelor of Arts Students Showcased in Poetry Reading
Students in the Corcoran’s inaugural Bachelor of Arts degree program presented a night of poetry and performance on December 4 in the heart of Washington, D.C.'s Adams Morgan neighborhood. A standing-room-only crowd of more than 60 people filled the District of Columbia Art Center's Black Box Theater to hear seven of the Corcoran’s most talented and ambitious writers and poets. Readers included Renee Regan, Justine Tobiasz, Christopher Cunningham, Howard Solomon (aka Slyce-D), Julliet Martinez, Hannah Clager, and Brittany Law. The range and diversity of these seven writers span traditional lyric poetry to confessional performance poetry to hip-hop spoken word forms.
