Installation now on view with video documentation
of the January 16, 2010 ballet performance
Many thanks to everyone who joined us on the evening of Saturday, January 16, 2010 for the launch of SNOW GLOBE, which featured a beautiful series of new dance pieces choreographed by Washington Ballet Artistic Director Septime Webre, and performed by Andile Ndlovu and The Washington Ballet Studio Company dancers. Transformer was thrilled to share this magical event with so many friends, and encourages you to re-visit the snow globe during our normal gallery hours - Wednesday through Saturday, 1 - 7pm - to view video of the ballet performance by DC-based video artist Rory Sheridan. Video will be projected within the SNOW GLOBE installation, an artist-built environment created by DC-based artists Jessica Cebra and Zach Storm that playfully incorporates painting, drawing, mixed media collage, and sculptural elements to create a whimsical, life-size winter wonderland.
