Harry F. Hopper III
Chairman, Board of Trustees
Harry Hopper is a partner at Columbia Capital, a venture capital firm which invests in mobile and broadband communications, media, and information technology companies. He joined the Corcoran's Board in 2005, became vice chairman in 2007, and became chairman in 2009. From 2004 to 2008, Harry served on the Board of Visitors of George Mason University. He and his wife, Maria, who serves on the Corcoran’s Education Committee, are avid collectors of contemporary art. Harry has served as a board member of the nonprofit organization Hopkins House and currently serves on the board of the nonprofit ACT. He received a BA degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa/English) and his JD degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley.
