1869 Society

Join one of the most dynamic young professionals groups in Washington, D.C. and enjoy the benefits of exclusive networking and socializing with other up-and-coming art patrons ages 25 to 42.

As a Member of the 1869 Society, you have access to private exhibition previews and receptions at the Corcoran, invitations to Cultural Cocktails (think happy hour with an artistic twist), free or reduced admission to public programs, and other educational opportunities. You’ll also receive one additional guest pass so that you can bring a friend along to view the Corcoran’s exhibitions and galleries.

Each spring the 1869 Society also sponsors ARTINI, one of the District’s most-anticipated parties. Some of the top mixologists in DC create cocktails inspired by the art on the Corcoran’s walls. This popular fundraiser supports the Gallery’s exhibition programs. A perennial sell out, you will be first in line to buy tickets.

You receive all of this along with the great benefits a Corcoran membership already offers: unlimited free admission to temporary and permanent exhibitions, guest passes, discounts at the Corcoran Shop and Café, reduced fees for Continuing Education classes at the Corcoran College of Art + Design, and a complimentary subscription to Night & Day, as well as to Member E-News.

1869 Society membership is just $65 plus your primary Corcoran membership!

Primary levels begin at $60 for an Individual, and benefits increase with your giving level. 1869 Society membership is complimentary at the Fellow level and all Chairman’s Guild levels; please make a note in the “Comments” field.
